Consumers and FamiliesHelping you acquire the information and confidence to live well and manage your healthcare
Partners in Quality Improvement
As a Medicare consumer, family member and/or caregiver, this section of our Web site is a source of information you can use to improve or maintain your health. We are building a collection of resources on a variety of health topics.
We aspire to make healthcare in our region the best in the nation. To do so, we need your help! We want to assist you in becoming more confident about making healthcare decisions and participating more fully in your care. In addition, it is extremely important to have the consumer ‘voice’ as we are making decisions about care given.
We are hosting the Great Plains Learning and Action Network as a way to share information, learn from one another and offer education and resources.
Partnering with Individuals and Family Members: Advisory Councils
Patient and Family Member Advisory Councils have been established in each of our four states as a partnership to help guide efforts, seek input on our approaches and to assist with message development and outreach. We strongly believe this partnership will provide opportunities for improving the health and healthcare of individuals through a better understanding of the ‘consumer’ perspective.
Council members include consumers, family members and healthcare professionals. Council members are kept appraised of our efforts and help identify ways to improve and enhance communication with individuals residing in our communities. If you or someone you know may be interested in participating, please let us know. We would be happy to discuss expectations, goals and outline steps for getting started.
