Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) have emerged as a significant healthcare concern, causing discomfort, disrupting daily life, and posing potential complications, necessitating a deeper understanding of why they have become a pressing problem.

Normally, we are quick to prescribe antibiotics. However, sometimes antibiotics can cause allergic reactions and other adverse effects and complications. Overuse of antibiotics can cause resistance, making it more difficult to treat infections as well. Patients can also feel symptoms of nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, rashes, and yeast infections.

Prevention is always best, but if a UTI does occur, it might be worth trying to treat with these tips.

  • Practicing good personal hygiene
  • Taking vitamin C
  • Taking a probiotic
  • Ingesting cranberry
  • Staying hydrated
