During this Webinar, Carrie Sorenson, Pharm D, addressed the terms related to drug-related harm, the scope of the problem, risk factors, prevention strategies and available resources.
Presenter: Carrie Sorenson, PharmD | Great Plains QIN Quality Improvement Advisor
Sorenson is employed by Quality Health Associates of North Dakota and serves as a Quality Improvement Advisor for Great Plains Quality Innovation Network. She has over 30 years of experience working in various healthcare organization settings beginning as a nursing home CNA. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from North Dakota State University and has obtained advanced certification in Antimicrobial Stewardship. She served as an NDSU adjunct professor/preceptor for over 15 years and was appointed to the ND Medicaid Drug Utilization Review Board for 10 years. Sorenson has a desire to improve patient health through medication optimization and has an interest in wellness/disease prevention and patient safety.
