The Community Health Center of the Black Hills recognized a need for mental health care for youth in their service area. The pandemic magnified the concerns, and the team committed to a six-month training from the National Council of Mental Well Being.

Health care staff will share the steps for implementing a youth mental wellbeing program and describe lessons learned and best practices.

Objectives:

  • Discuss barriers to mental wellbeing for community youth
  • Explain the benefits of the National Council of Mental Well Being training
  • Describe the team and each member’s role

The Best Practice Briefs are hosted by the South Dakota Foundation for Medical Care in partnership with the Great Plains Quality Innovation Network
