There is a new national campaign to increase COVID-19 vaccine confidence. This campaign will rely on messengers from community-based organizations to press the importance of the vaccine, especially in underserved populations, including rural ones.
The WE CAN DO THIS Campaign includes free guides, advertisements, social media messages to support COVID-19 outreach and education as well as complete toolkits to reach diverse communities. The campaign ads have appeared on TV, radio and digital media.
You are invited to support the effort by joining the COVID-19 Community Corps. As a member, you’ll receive timely, accurate information to share with your family, friends and neighbors. By encouraging them to get vaccinated, you’ll help protect them – and allow all of us to safely gather together again.
“This toolkit has everything a community needs to help promote and encourage those community members who might be vaccine hesitant to be more vaccine confident,” states Tammy Wagner, Great Plains QIN Quality Improvement Advisor. “ I think we are all ready to get back to normal or at least begin to move toward whatever our new normal might be; I know I am. I will do what I need to do so that when most people are vaccinated, we can be close again, hug again and go to concerts again. Everyone needs to do their part in combatting this pandemic.”
