Objectives:
25% of healthcare professionals will self-report an increase in knowledge and competence of palliative care when caring for persons with a serious illness by the end of symposium.
  1. Learners will strengthen their general knowledge of palliative care.
  2. Identify methods of symptom management for patients living with serious illness.
  3. Gain awareness of efforts being made to facilitate access to palliative services across the region.
  4. Apply tools appropriate to patient’s values and preferences to frame therapeutic options.
