Adherence to medications is important in ensuring that therapeutic benefits are delivered to patients. However, adherence to medications is an issue, especially among the elderly. A recently published study in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society cited that people 80 and older were 1.5 to 3 times more likely to need help with their medications than those 65 to 69. The odds of needing help were 3 to 5 times greater among people who had difficulty with memory. Click here to read more.
