The word 'news' on top of newspapers

As of July 1, 2024, Kepro is officially Acentra Health, providing the same services, but with a new name and look. There are no changes that will impact the work you have come to expect from Kepro, which serves as the Beneficiary and Family Centered Care Quality Improvement Organization (BFCC-QIO) for North Dakota and South Dakota.

Acentra Health will continue to perform Medicare-contracted reviews through 2029.  Their phone and fax numbers have not changed and you will still have access to all the tools you need to fulfill your duties. They will have an updated website, but the Case Status tool will still be available, and access will not be disrupted. Healthcare providers who have an existing Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the organization that says “Kepro” will NOT be required to complete a new one with the new name, Acentra Health.

The Acentra Health team encourages providers to update their notices – the Important Message from Medicare (IM) and the Notice of Medicare Non-Coverage (NOMNC) – by changing “Kepro” to “Acentra Health” when convenient for your organization. However, it is important to know that notices will not be made invalid if they have “Kepro” listed.

All updates and information will continue to be posted at www.acentraqio.com/AcentraHealth. If you have additional questions, please send an email to QIOCommunications@acentra.com.
