Presenters:

Noel Brewer, PhD, is the Gillings Distinguished Professor in Public Health at the University of North Carolina (UNC) in the Department of Health Behavior at the Gillings School of Global Public Health. Dr. Brewer’s research examines vaccination, tobacco use, medical screening, and other cancer-related health behaviors.

Jessica Young, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and the Associate Program Director of the Preventive Medicine Residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a pediatrician and preventive medicine physician, she is passionate about vaccines. Dr. Young leads many projects on health equity and childhood vaccination uptake, particularly for vaccines with higher rates of vaccine hesitancy, including influenza, COVID-19, and HPV vaccines.
