Million Hearts® is a national initiative to avert 1 million preventable CVD events from January 2022 to December 2026. To optimize the possibility of reaching its goal, Million Hearts® prioritized strategies for building healthy communities and optimizing care through a committed focus on specific populations experiencing inequities. A 20% improvement in key indicators would translate to 1 million fewer events over a 5-year period.
