Presenter: Nikki Akparewa is the Founder of Transform Nursing, a nurse entrepreneur and a subject matter expert in racial equity and inclusion work.  With over a decade of experience teaching racial justice, Nikki has worked in the international space, in critical care and HIV community-based care and in clinical instruction of nursing students. She is also a published author of the workbook “The Clinician’s Guide to Microaggressions & Unconscious Bias: Racial Justice in Healthcare.” Nikki has partnered with academic nurse leaders all over the world to develop nursing program agility in integrating racial justice concepts into their curriculum. Nikki uses her vast consulting skills to coach academic nurse leaders and nursing students to successfully navigate barriers around race, class and health equity so that nurses will be leaders in addressing biased care.  Nikki’s result oriented stress-free approach strengthens organizational leaders’ ability to think, act and operate confidently as inclusive spaces. She is one of a few experts offering an online accredited course focusing on influential leadership, coaching, restorative practices, and racial justice combined.
