The Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center (RM-PHTC), which is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), is offering a total of $60,000 in funding to up to 12 organizations to offer leadership learning opportunities to professionals working in public health or community health.
Mini-grant requests can range from $5,000 to $60,000 and are intended to fund the development and offering of learning opportunities. The leadership learning must benefit professionals working in public health or community health in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, or Wyoming.
RM-PHTC will prioritize funding leadership learning opportunities that:
- Are responsive to current and emerging public health priorities
- Contribute to the recruitment, promotion, and retention of professionals from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds
- Support collaboration between public health and primary care
Eligible Entities: Non-profit organizations, governmental or tribal public health agencies, community health centers, or academic institutions in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, or Wyoming.
The deadline to apply is February 16, 2024.
RM-PHTC is intentionally choosing the word “learning opportunity” rather than “training” as they recognize that learning comes in many forms and formats. Mini-grants may be used to develop and offer a wide range of learning opportunities for professionals.
Types of learning opportunities may include:
- Live or self-paced training
- Virtual or in-person training
- Coaching
- Mentoring
- Project-based learning
- Peer learning
- Single-session or multi-session opportunities
- A stand-alone learning opportunity or an expanded component added on to an existing learning opportunity (e.g., adding a coaching component to an existing leadership training program)
Questions can be emailed to Sarah.e2.Davis@cuanschutz.edu. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response.
