We are excited to announce that we have crossed a milestone in the history of our organization. On January 7, Great Plains Quality Innovation Network will celebrate 10 years of doing business; currently serving as the Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization for North Dakota and South Dakota. While Great Plains QIN was established in 2014, several members of our team have been part of the quality improvement organization program for as many as twenty years.
“We have great partners across the Midwest who demonstrate every day what quality care means to their patients and residents. I’m proud that the GPQIN team members can enhance their efforts and make further connections with our quality improvement support. Once again, thank you for being an integral part of our journey. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and achieving even greater milestones together in the years to come,” shared Ryan Sailor, Chief Executive Officer for Great Plains QIN.
We are continually inspired by the healthcare community at work. North Dakota and South Dakota nursing homes have consistently been recognized as top performers in the country in vaccination rates of residents (currently at #1 and #2 respectively). We have a unique opportunity to be part of community collaborations and partnerships committed to improving care delivery and outcomes across the Dakotas, including efforts to reduce avoidable hospital readmissions, chronic disease management, delivery of equitable care and the challenging pursuit to reduce opioid misuse and deaths.
As we reflect on the past decade, we are filled with gratitude for the invaluable partnerships that have played a role in our success; thanks for your unwavering support, collaboration, and commitment to excellence. We are proud of the work we have done, the accomplishments made and will continue to strive to make healthcare in our region the best in the nation as we move forward. Thanks for being part of our journey.
