The Transformational Project and Sanford Health are presenting the Midwest Gender Identity Summit. Educating, Empowering & Supporting the transgender community through the lens of healthcare.
This one day event will highlight the needs of transgender patients in healthcare; including interpersonal communication as well as physical and mental health needs.

You can attend this event at the Sanford Research Center (Sioux Falls, SD) or participate online. Topics include transgender cultural competency, gender affirming care, learning to address implicit bias towards LGBTQ+ & 2S patients and steps toward ending queer youth suicide. The Summit also includes a panel of transgender patients sharing lessons and their experiences. Breakout sessions offer a medical track and a mental health track.
