We are excited to introduce our newest Great Plains QIN team members; Carrie Sorenson, PharmD, Susan Wilcox, RN, Stephanie Hanson, RN, BSN and Carolyne Tufte, LPN.
These four individuals will serve as Quality Improvement Advisors and will support healthcare partners and community-based efforts to improve care in the Dakotas. They each bring a diverse skill set, a wealth of industry knowledge and patient care experiences. We are fortunate to add them to our team and expand our capacity to serve our communities. Throughout the next few weeks, we will introduce each one individually. This week, we get to learn a bit more about Carolyne.
Carolyne Tufte, LPN | Quality Improvement Advisor
My favorite part of quality improvement is finding a solution to a problem. It allows you to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions.
I am a quality improvement advisor and I am most looking forward to making an impact for people and healthcare on a larger scale. I used to measure outcomes on an individual patient basis and while that is gratifying, I am excited to be a part of improving people’s lives on a much larger scale.
My prior experience is as a nurse (LPN). I spent the last ten years working for a rural health clinic/critical access hospital combined facility. I was cross-trained in all areas of the facility, including clinic, acute care, pre and post-surgical. The last three years were spent as the patient care coordinator.
In my free time, what little I find between raising three girls (ages 7, 4, and 3), I like gardening, reading and teaching Sunday school.
We are fortunate to have a solid team of qualified and committed individuals on our Great Plains QIN team. Visit the Who We Are page of our website for a list of team members and their contact information. (please note; we are in the process of adding our newest team members).
