Kaser currently collaborates with nursing homes in North and South Dakota offering quality improvement and patient safety expertise and assistance, including pandemic related support. She also supports community-based coalition efforts and nursing homes in the Great Plains Quality Care Coalition with her chronic disease management knowledge and experience with quality improvement strategies. Prior to GPQIN, Dee’s experience included work as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) in the inpatient and outpatient setting. She has 34 years experience in nursing, including long-term care, intensive care, critical access hospital and physician office nursing along with utilization review and staff development.

With over 30 years working in multiple healthcare organization settings and multiple roles from CNA to leadership, Wagner understands the diverse populations and the need for these populations to have access to care that is safe, accessible, and affordable, improving communication and transitions in care for the patient and family between healthcare settings. Wagner recently received a certification in infection prevention and has been instrumental in assisting nursing homes with infection prevention activities and reporting in the CDC National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) system. Wagner is a Registered Nurse, TeamSTEPPS® Master Trainer, Lean Six Sigma Great Belt, Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Alzheimer’s Disease Certified Trainer and has her certificate in Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate of Mastery.
