Communication is the lifeline of a well-functioning team. AHRQ’s TeamSTEPPS® Long-Term Care (LTC) Communication Module is being utilized to instill standardized information exchange strategies for use within and across nursing homes in an effort to improve communication and teamwork, and ultimately promote a culture of resident safety.
The TeamSTEPPS® LTC Communication Module provides strategies and tools to improve the effectiveness of communication, promote sharing of information and decrease communication-related errors. The content of this module is appropriate for all staff who work in long-term care.
