Scientists and medical experts are racing to develop a vaccine to prevent SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). As some vaccine candidates are nearing the end of Phase III clinical trials, healthcare professionals are left with many questions. How were COVID-19 vaccines developed so quickly? When can we expect a COVID-19 vaccine? How can I be sure the vaccine is safe for me and my patients? Who should get the vaccine first?
