Culture is essential in shaping our individual experiences and health. Surprisingly, little attention has been paid to the interplay between culture and dementia caregiving.
Dementia support and services are not adequately tailored to meet the cultural needs of older adults and their caregivers, despite the projected rise in the diversity of caregivers in the U.S. In this first part of a three-part series, Dr. Ishan Williams will provide background and context on the unique and pivotal role that culture plays in dementia caregiving. We’ll also learn about putting these practices into action during this webinar.
