The Quality Payment Program (QPP) began in January 2017 under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015.

The QPP aims to improve health outcomes, promote smarter spending, minimize burden of participation and provide fairness and transparency in operations.

Nebraska stakeholders came together to form the Nebraska Quality Payment Program (QPP) Coalition. This coalition focuses on helping Nebraska clinicians thrive in this patient-centric and value-based payment environment.

The Coalition set three primary goals:

  1. Align strategy and metrics to eliminate market confusion and create synergy
  2. Promote efficient resource use and reduce duplication of efforts
  3. Engage and equip clinicians with sustainable transformative skill sets

The Nebraska QPP Coalition meets regularly to identify how they can best work together to provide the technical assistance needed across the state of Nebraska. Different types of technical assistance are available; including, but not limited to: subject matter experts, webinars, newsletters, conferences, events, website resources, public speaking, virtual or onsite one-to-one assistance.

The one message the coalition hopes to relay throughout the state is that each organization is working together in this effort. Please feel free to reach out to any of these organizations with your questions around the Quality Payment Program. We can help navigate which organization can best assist your needs.
