Value-based purchasing programs and their impact on home health agencies will be reviewed. Other topics will include interpreting CASPER data, the importance of accurate documentation of immunizations and steps to improving immunization outcomes.

Utilizing Your CASPER Report in the QAPI Process: Focus Acute Care Hospitalization
Tuesday, April 18, 3:00-4:00 p.m. CT

Home health agencies will learn how to interpret CASPER data for adverse events, acute care hospitalization and emergency room visits. Additional topics will focus on the QAPI process and steps in creating a Performance Improvement Project; root cause analysis for acute care hospitalizations; and key process areas to reduce acute care hospitalizations.


Continuing Education

Application has been made to the North Dakota Board of Nursing for contact hours for nurses for these events.


About the Presenter

Diane Link, RN, MHA, has over 25 years of home health and hospice experience in all levels of the industry. She has been an RN for 27 years and has served as a clinician, performance improvement nurse, clinical manager and executive director. She also has worked as a CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program) surveyor for home health, hospice and private duty services. She currently is a home health/hospice Senior Clinical Consultant for BlackTree Healthcare Consulting.

Diane’s knowledge of home health and hospice regulations has enabled her to help agencies improve clinical, organizational and performance improvement workflows and assist agencies meet the regulatory requirements. Diane most recently published the book “The Hospice Guide to Quality Care and Reporting:  Promoting Sustainability in an Evolving Regulatory Climate” published by HC Pro.
