Peg’s business focus is to improve infection prevention practices in healthcare facilities using proven quality improvement strategies. Peg has a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Creighton University (1993), is Certified in Infection Control and was in the first group named as an APIC Fellow. Currently, Peg is managing a grant from the CDC awarded to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services on improving injection safety practices, is a consultant for the Great Plains QIN-QIO and an independent contractor for APIC Consulting. Peg has spent the last several years assisting facilities with accurate reporting to the National Healthcare Safety Network database. Peg recently received the 2017 Distinguished Service award from the Nebraska Infection Control Network (NICN) and is on the board of directors for the Greater Omaha APIC Chapter, NICN, and the State HAI Advisory Council.
