Developing a State Pain Guidance Document:  Creating a Task Force and Selecting Tools

This webinar highlighted the development of a Pain Guidance Task Force in Nebraska. Presenters discussed composition of the task force and utilization of CDC’s guidelines on opioid prescribing to compile the Nebraska Pain Guidance Document as well as inclusion of other key tools.


Target Audience:

Clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, home health, hospice, public health, consumers and families, and all community partners interested in opioid prescribing guidelines.


Upon completion of the WebEx, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss the development of the Nebraska Pain Guidance Task Force
  2. Describe the utilization of the CDC Guidelines on opioid prescribing while developing the Nebraska Pain Guidance Document
  3. Recognize the need to promote a grass roots effort to achieve brood support for the document
  4. Summarize key tools used in the Nebraska Pain Management Guidance Document
