The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is responding to the opioid epidemic by promoting safe and responsible pain management, making sure patients can access treatment for opioid use disorder and using data to target prevention and treatment. During this public meeting, attendees will learn about the United States Department of Health and Human Services and CMS activities to address the opioid epidemic, pain management and substance use disorders. Experts from the federal government, advocacy communities, the research, treatment, clinical, and medical industry will share key information, with opportunities for public input.

The public meeting will take place on Friday, September 20, 2019 in the CMS Auditorium located at 7500 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21244 and live streamed for virtual attendees. Register by September 10, 2019 to participate. Learn more.
