National Nurses Week is a time to celebrate and recognize the contributions nurses have made in our communities. Take time out this week to thank those in the nursing profession for dedicating their careers to caring for our loved ones.
National Nurses Week falls on the same days each year, ending on Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Organized by the American Nurses Association (ANA), the observance is an opportunity to support and promote the nursing profession at all levels.
The 2016 National Nurses Week theme is, “Culture of safety. It starts with YOU.” This theme asks that all nurses think about how they can work together and individually in their workplace to create a culture of safety. This theme will promote the safety of patients and nurses nationwide.
Thank you to all nurses throughout our region and the country for your compassion, energy, knowledge and dedication. Your efforts are recognized and applauded.
