The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has released a 6-page guidance document describing how providers can apply for money to help improve telehealth. Funds come from the new Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and aims to give providers the resources for improving connected health programs to patients in their homes and other remote locations. The funds are to be used for telemedicine equipment, broadband connectivity, and other resources. The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau’s guidance lays out the steps providers must take to apply for funding.

Further information and the funding application are available at COVID-19 Telehealth Program.
