Healthcare professionals face the challenges of promoting prevention in an acute care and treatment culture, while also navigating the change to value-based payment. In addition, patient satisfaction and the resulting health outcomes impact the healthcare organization’s bottom line. Balancing patient-centered care, healthcare quality and healthcare cost truly demands an engaged team of administrative and clinical professionals.

In an effort to support this process, the Provider Perspectives on Patient-Centered Care webinar series was developed as a partnership of the Great Plains Quality Innovation Network (QIN) and the South Dakota State Medical Association to highlight provider and clinician perspectives while introducing corresponding resources and tools.

Reviewing clinical data allows healthcare teams to prioritize and implement quality improvement in areas with the highest impact. This process of prioritization improves health outcomes for segments of the patient population, which eventually results in lower healthcare costs. Relating how targeted patient-centered care strategies can benefit administrative priorities is the focus for the 15-20 minute webinar briefs scheduled in June:

Join these WebEx opportunities to learn from content experts on how quality improvement with a patient-centered focus can create efficiencies and improve outcomes to reduce overall healthcare costs. In addition, the Great Plains QIN Quality Payment Program Service Center will offer technical assistance through online, telephone and live chat options.
