We are working within our region to help slow the emergence of resistance bacteria and prevent the spread of resistant infections. We are sharing information and education on the principles of antimicrobial stewardship. Our team offers outreach, education and technical assistance. We recently developed an Outpatient Antibiotic Stewardship Toolkit to provide outpatient antibiotic stewardship leaders with the resources needed to implement a program inclusive of The Core Elements of Outpatient Antibiotic Stewardship as defined by CDC.
