Caregiver Support Line 855/260-3274

Caregivers provide important physical, practical and emotional support to family members or loved ones. One of the most important—but often forgotten—tasks for caregivers is caring for themselves. A caregiver’s physical, emotional, and mental health is vital to the well-being of the person who they are caring for.

The US Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) offers monthly telephone education groups to support those who are serving as caregivers. During these calls, individuals will receive self-care tips and support on a variety of topics. Participants will also have the opportunity to comment and ask questions at the end of each call.

Recordings, transcripts, and handouts from past presentations are available, as well as information on how to register to attend future sessions. Visit www.caregiver.va.gov/support-line/presentations.asp today to learn more.

Caregivers may experience periods of stress, anxiety, depression, and frustration. Please pass this information onto those who are serving as a caregiver; calling the Caregiver Support Line is a great first step to learn more about support and resources available.
