“One of the deep secrets of life is that all that is really worth doing is what we do for others”.     – Lewis Caroll

The Great Plains Quality Innovation Network team would like to celebrate the incredible people that you are, your incredible coworkers and the places where you work!  Thank you for all you do to contribute to your profession, your communities and in serving the patients/residents at the center of your work! During the month of May, we have lots of reasons to celebrate!!

National Nurses Day is May 6!
On this day, we raise awareness of all nurse contributions and commitments and acknowledge the vital role nurses play. This day is also the first day of National Nurses Week.

National Nurses Week is May 6-12
The American Nurses Association has designated 2017 as the “Year of the Healthy Nurse.” Join us during National Nurses Week as we explore this year’s theme, “Nursing: the Balance of Mind, Body, and Spirit.” It’s all about celebrating nurses who lead the charge for health and wellness. Check out the ANA Web site for more information, resources and an upcoming Webinar opportunity, A Nurse’s Guide to Preventing Compassion Fatigue, Moral Distress, and Burnout.

National Hospital Week is May 7 – 13
National Hospital Week celebrates hospitals and the women and men who support the health and well being of their communities through dedication and compassionate care from the heart.

National Nursing Home Week is May 14-20
During National Nursing Home Week® (NNHW), skilled nursing care centers will unite under the theme, “The Spirit of America.” This theme underscores the bond between staff, volunteers and residents that capture the American spirit.

Take the time to thank all of the dedicated individuals for their contributions and dedication to caring for and improving the lives of our community members and loved ones.
