Great Plains Quality Innovation NetworkServing Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota
Since 1984, Medicare Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) have been a driving force for quality improvement throughout the country. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has recently transformed the QIO program to more effectively support the National Quality Strategy and is again looking to the QIO program to partner with and support healthcare providers and consumers in all settings of care.
Great Plains Quality Innovation Network (QIN) is the new Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) serving Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. The development of Great Plains QIN reflects the recent changes to the structure of the QIO program. The Network is comprised of four very successful and committed QIOs – Kansas Foundation for Medicare Care, CIMRO of Nebraska, Quality Health Associates of North Dakota and South Dakota Foundation for Medical Care.
